Nothing like a good old chat to get ideas, feel inspired or simply be relieved you're not alone. Sadly, we can't make you all a cup of tea and sit you down for a chin-wag, but we can share with you what others have been telling us. And if you want to share yourself, go right ahead.Messages

i was really happy to read shaky's message about bedtime (or other-time) reading. i used to read loads when i was a child, but once i got into my 20s, reading seemed to turn into a holiday treat rather than an everyday activity. recently i started just what shaky's suggesting, reading big books in bed and little books on the bus (easier to carry with me). and it's a total joy, whether it's funny or sad, fiction or fact - gets both the brain and the heart going.

I think it would be wise to drink less bottled water and more tap water...it's energy saving, it's generally healthier and there's no waste of plastic! Try it, you might be surprised...if not, many kinds of useful filters are available.

In most of public toilets it's easy to see really disgusting things. I wonder if people have ever put theirselves in the place of the cleaners... Someone has to clean all that! It could be you! What if we all leave the toilets we use as clean as they were when we entered them? The next user will appreciate it, and the cleaner too.

WHY IS IT NECESSARY?
I know many people who say they'd love to read but they just don't have time. When you recommend them a book they always say: I'll read it, someday... They lose the habit of reading. It becomes harder and harder to do it and they become very slow readers. It's a pity. Books have so much to teach us, so much fun to give us, so much to make us feel...
WHAT CAN I DO?
Why don't you try reading 20 minutes everyday before going to sleep? It's not that much. And anyway most of the people don't just fall asleep as soon as they are in bed. We need sometime to relax, to be quiet and calmed.
Or if you really think that's not a good option for you. Find your moment. On your way to work, maybe? Or when you go beck home, instead of turning on the tv?
HOW WOULD THAT HELP ME OR IMPROVE THE WORLD?
You'll be wiser, and therefore able to do a better work for the world. You will read diverse opinions, stories and thoughts, and so, you'll be able to understand better other people. You will have one book waiting for you and you will be happier knowing at the end of the day you'll have that time for you to enjoy. People arround you will apreciate you being happier and consequently nicer. Etcetera...

One day I asked my grandma about her wedding day. It was just amazing hearing what things were like back then, how she felt like, what she remembered the best... I recommend to everyone to take the time to listen to their granparents talk about their lives.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1085069/Try-new-today---blundering-Sainsburys-gives-booklet-sex-positions-year-olds.html Crumbs! Who would have thought that four years after we published it, Change the World for a Fiver would still be making news! Thanks very much to everyone who has written in defense of our little book which along with its sequel Change the World 9 to 5 (actions to do at work to change the world - you should see what we suggest you do at your office Christmas party!) has sold one million copies worldwide and led to other great projects like the "I'm not a plastic bag" collaboration with Anya Hindmarch. Change the World for a Fiver isn't a children's book and it was a mistake to give to kids - but it was a well intentioned mistake and it won't happen again so hopefully we can leave it at that. Incidentally, we have produced a book which IS for children - it's called Teach Your Granny to Text & Other Ways to Change the World - for kids, by kids - and if you're quick, you can still grab a copy for Christmas. No stick figures in baths. Promise.
